Cabinet Cleaning

It is important to follow safe cleaning practices. You see, if you use the wrong method one time you may not see damage right away but over years of using the wrong cleaning methods, your cabinet finish will be tarnished and permanently damaged.

Ready to clean?

Go soft! Don't use harsh cleaners and materials to "scrub" your cabinets, this is not only unnecessary-but potentially damaging. A mild soap or detergent mixed with water is all you need. Do not use Ammonia-based products, soaps containing dyes, abrasive pads or the use of your kitchen sponge-this could contain damaging cleaners from last night. It is important to not over wet the cabinets and don't scrub but gently wipe away grease and grime. If you stay on top of this you should never have to worry about using "elbow grease" to clean your cabinets. Be sure to dry off your cabinets after each cleaning.

Moisture & Your Cabinets

Moisture and wood don't generally work well together. Because dampness will damage your cabinets, wipe off any water or liquid drips immediately. When cleaning glass inserts, spray the glass cleaner directly on the rag or paper towel then clean the glass. This prevents the cleaner dripping down the glass into the wood door and causing damage.
